Last night, Zach, had a "first" ever moment. He races motocross and last night he raced at an arena cross in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Between the races he would go up in the stands and sit with his grandpa. While in the stands watching the other races, a little boy around the age of 10, came up with a piece of paper and pencil and asked if he could have his autograph. I think it caught Zach off guard, he had a look on his face like "do you have the right person". He signed it and off the boy went.
He did good the first races, a 1st and a 2nd in the Nov. and outlaw classes. Made it to the mains and was able to race that night. The arena is pretty big, holds several thousand people. So I think he was excited to be able to ride in front of so many people. The main races didn't go so well. He was taken out in both races. The last race all the spokes in his back wheel broke.

Yesterday was the Missouri State Banquet. Zach won 1st place in the 250 Nov. class. They gave this picture to him. Someone took it of him at one of the races. He also received a #1 number plate, a 1st place plaque, 2 gift certificates to area motorcycle shops, graphics, a seat cover, and a coat that says State Champ with his name. You can't tell it from these pics. but he was excited about winning.
