Home from the Hospital!

Hey everyone, we finally made it home from the hospital. Nick crashed his motorcycle last night and broke his arm where it attaches to the shoulder. They sent him home last night and wanted him to come back today for his surgery. Of course I had to take the camera. I don't know if the look on his face is from the pain or if it is because of the camera stuck in his face. Notice his half of a wave. Anyways, now that his arm is back in place he feels 100% better.
And this is how he has been since we walked in the door. All of his friends have been calling to see how he is doing. He must be feeling better, he has a grin.

Bless his little heart! I remember minor trips to the hospital at that age and...waiting on my friends to call and check on me!

Oh my! I'm glad that was all that was broken. I mean I don't get me wrong I hate anything happened at all, but at least it wasn't a broke leg, ankle and arm like a friend of mine that had a motorcyle accident a couple of years ago. Poor baby. Hope he feels better soon!

Aren't children amazing. They can be down for the count, and then when they are on the mend, it's overnight, almost. We, the parents, are the ones who loose the sleep. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Glad all is well for you until the next time.

The poor guy! I assume he was on his dirtbike? Our son raced them for years and actually still does at 25. I always teased that when we would get to the ER that his file was the fattest one they had, lots of breaks, concussions, cuts, etc.. But he still loves it and now has turned it into a career working for FOX industries selling the helmets, uniforms, goggles, boots, etc...Best of luck to a speedy recovery! Sue

WEndy, I thought the same thing about the Dirtbiking, never having talked to another blog mother who's son raced. Tell him Congrats for me Lorrettas is huge!! My son has raced all over the country, Los Vegas, Cali, Canada, Texas, and of course the medwest where we are from. It was ALOT of $$$ but well worth it, and his dad and him really had so much time to bond. He is now a college grad and has a great job, so it is all good. I always felt like with him soo involved in dirtbiking there wasnt alot of time for him to get interested in drugs and alcohol, like so many kids. Him and his friends still have pit bike tracks here at our house and he just bought a pitbike for his girlfriend to use when he is out riding his big bike! Him and his girlfriend actually have a blog that she started and they would love for you to go visit, I am sure! http://lifeofsonnyandbryan.blogspot.com/
I have been commenting on some of your old blogs and then I thought, she may not even know I have left these old comments! I love your idea for St Paddys day, too cute. And your sons new bathroom, is amazing, I will admit I am going to steal some of your ideas, lol. I will check back often I really enjoy your very informative blog! Sue
